You know when you get a song stuck in your head and it goes round and round but not the whole song just parts of it and try as you might you can’t make it stop and you start to go crazy and you wanna stick a hot fireplace poker in your eye?

I’ve got Digital Underground’s HUMPTY DANCE stuck in there. For like three days now. Aargh!

Other than that, I’m a happy bunny once again!

  I have a new theory, now that I’m feeling much better and no longer is such a funk. Here it is: Everything in life, every occurence serves one of two purposes, it’s either to amuse me, or to seriously test my patience. And if it tests my patience, the story sure as heck better be amusing to all who hear about it (ahem, toothy chickens anyone?) 

Thanks to all who indulged me while I wallowed in self-pity. I ended up having a wonderful 30th birthday. My parents (all 4) were actually civil to each other, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in the history of history. My mom and I had a “spa day” which also has never been done, and we all ended up at this amazing restaurant where Ethan took us to dinner. It’s a Hawaiian-fusion steakhouse called “Roy’s,” and it may seriously be out new favorite place! Even the dogs were on their best behavior all day yesterday! So perhaps it takes a flood (or some other seeming disaster) to make things come out all right in the end.

Seriously though…thanks to all the well-wishers, you guys made me feel loved, and it totally made my day!
